Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Vatican city gardens and St. Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour

Start your tour entering the magnificent Vatican Gardens, spread over nearly 23 hectares (57 acres). They contain a variety of medieval fortifications, buildings and monuments from the 9th century to the present day, set among vibrant flower beds and topiary, green lawns and patch of forest. There are a variety of fountains cooling the gardens, sculptures, an artificial grotto devoted to Our Lady of Lourdes.

After enjoying this natural landscape continue the tour visiting the Sistine Chapel, a world famous work of art, to see Michelangelo’s fresco ‘The Creation of Adam.’ Continue this interesting itinerary stepping inside St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world. Among the many fine pieces of art and mosaics on display are Michelangelo’s “Pietà” and the beautifully carved Bernini Pulpit.

11:30 – Vatican Garden tour entering from Viale dello Sport.

12:15 – End of Vatican Garden tour and coming back to Giardino Quadrato.

12:20 – Vatican Museums tour and access to Sistine Chapel through upstairs gallery without visit Raffaello’s rooms.

13:20 – Saint Peter Basilica guided tour.

This tour involves a fair amount of walking. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

No refund will be given to late coming. Wardrobe service is not available, it is not allowed to bring luggage, large handbag or boxes. Being Jubilee year, kindly note that Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter Basilica might close at any given time without notice.
